Each Workshop Combines Classroom Instruction With Practical, On-Bike Exercises Led by Certified Instructors
HENDERSON, Nev. (April 27, 2026) - As part of the "Ride Smart. Stay Safe." e-bike safety campaign, the City of Henderson has initiated youth skills workshops focused on e-bike, bicycle and e-scooter safety.
These free programs are designed for students in grades 6-12 to strengthen their riding skills while promoting awareness of safe practices.

Interviews will be available with Henderson Mayor Michelle Romero and Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition to highlight the importance of these workshops and e-bike safety. Each workshop combines classroom instruction with practical, on-bike exercises led by certified instructors in partnership with CCSD and Southern Nevada Bicycle Coalition. Participants learn essential traffic laws, safety rules and riding techniques designed to build confidence, improve decision-making and help students navigate the community safely. All attendees receive free safety equipment, including helmets and bike lights, ensuring students have the gear they need to ride safely. |
