DALLAS - Enrollment for universal, no-tuition pre-K is now open for the 2026-2027 school year. Studies show that students who attend pre-K build a strong foundation for lifelong success by supporting early cognitive development and strengthening social and emotional skills. Families can learn more about the benefits of early childhood education and register on-site at Dallas ISD's More Choice Expo from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, April 11, at the Automobile Building in Fair Park.

VISUALS:Hopping into fun at Walnut Hill
Today, students in the AVID program at Thomas Jefferson High School brought springtime fun to Walnut Hill International Leadership Academy as they visited the campus to host an exciting egg hunt for pre-K through second grade students, hiding more than 5,000 eggs. The event created a joyful experience while also building connections between the two campuses.

Dallas ISD offices and schools closed
All Dallas ISD offices and schools will be closed Friday, April 3. Central office employees return Monday, April 6, and normal district operations will resume Tuesday, April 7.
