Each dot represents a PA who goes beyond. Add yours today!
September 8, 2025
During AAPA 2025, the PAs Go Beyond campaign released a new and exciting interactive feature: the Nationwide Physician Associate Impact Map! Hundreds of dots represent stories submitted by PAs, patients, colleagues, and family and friends - all showcasing PAs who go beyond.
What is the map for?
The PAs Go Beyond campaign launched in May 2022 to publicly establish PAs as a vital solution to the nation's most pressing healthcare challenges. Since its launch, PAs, patients, and students have submitted their stories to AAPA to shine a light on the amazing work PAs and PA students accomplish across the country.
The PA Impact Map offers users the chance to explore these stories and learn more about how PAs are going beyond for their communities and the profession.
How are dots added to the map?
AAPA will update the map at least once every month. A PA or PA student can be recommended for inclusion on the map through the PAs Go Beyond Story Submission Form. Though not every story will be posted, there are no restrictions on submissions - anyone can share a story!
The PA/PA student does not need to have done something out of this world (like be the first PA to go to outer space) to be added. However, the submission should explain how the individual "goes beyond." It could be how they interact with their patients or coworkers; their work to develop an innovative care model; or service to their community through volunteer work.
Below are some examples:
Elochukwu Osoego is a PA in Jefferson City, MO. To decrease the number of patients going to overcrowded emergency departments, he and his wife, NP Dara Osoego, opened their own urgent care, Innovative Medical Clinic, with a focus on high-level services, transparent pricing, and stellar customer care.
Christopher Dietrich, a PA in Wasilla, AK, works with patients at Orion Behavioral Health Network, a private practice that offers comprehensive psychiatric services, and Banyan Alaska, a substance use disorder treatment facility, to provide much-needed care to veterans.
Lili Barajas is a PA in Los Angeles, CA, who jumped into action to aid in relief efforts after the tragic California wildfires.
Bryan Wogen, a PA in Colorado Springs, CO, founded Lycos Medical to provide mobile primary care services to residents of senior living communities.
Juliana Feeney is a PA student based in Hempstead, NY. With the aid of the "PA Step-Up" grant from the NCCPA Health Foundation, she created "El heroico asociado médico (The Hero Physician Associate)," a children's book written entirely in Spanish that describes the scope of the Physician Associate profession.
[Submit a PA or PA student today!]
If an individual is already on the map and is recommended a second time, their profile will be updated to include the new submission.
AAPA reserves the right to reject a submission or edit it to adhere to AAPA's code of conduct and brand guidelines.
How do I navigate the map?
To focus on certain areas of the country, users are able to move or zoom to different sections. Hovering over a dot will reveal the person's name and clicking on it will open that person's profile. Different filters can also be used to narrow down the dots on the map.
Users can filter by state, impact made (such as veterans and active service members or PA founders and entrepreneurs), those featured on AAPA's News Central, and trailblazers (PAs who were the first and blazed the trail for others to follow).
If a user is looking for someone specific, they can type that person's name into the search bar located on the upper left side of the map.
Can the map be edited?
If you are a PA featured on the map and would like updates made to your profile, such as edits made to your location, photo, or bio, please fill out the Map Updates form and AAPA will review your request.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to AAPA's Communications team at [email protected].
