Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas Yan Jiarong Attends Teachers Gathering Hosted by Bahamian Influencer

On 3 May 2026, Her Excellency Yan Jiarong, Chinese Ambassador to The Bahamas, attended the Teacher Fest 2026 event hosted by Bahamian influencer Mr. Das Quay. More than 1000 teachers from across The Bahamas participated in the event, enjoying dancing, trivia contests, and various interactive games.

Ambassador Yan delivered remarks at the event, introducing China's fine tradition of respecting teachers and valuing education. She commended educators for "shaping lives and shaping nations" with their vital role in social progress and the continuation of civilization. Ambassador Yan emphasized that China has always attached great importance to educational exchanges and cooperation with The Bahamas, maintaining broad and close ties with educational institutions at all levels, and expressed hope for continued progress in China-Bahamas educational cooperation.
