Energy Facility Siting Council to Meet July 24

SALEM - The next regularly scheduled meeting of Oregon's Energy Facility Siting Council will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026. Attendance will be open to the public both in person in Salem, OR and virtually using Microsoft Teams. Public Hearings:

· Wheatridge Renewable Energy Facility East Request for Amendment 2 - Proposed Order Public Hearing

· Radioactive Material Transport Fee Rulemaking Public Hearing

Buckley Solar Facility Notice of Intent Extension Request (Action Item): Kathleen Sloan, Senior Siting Analyst. Council will review a request to extend the expiration of the Notice of Intent by one year, to August 17, 2027. The facility is a proposed 1,200 MW solar photovoltaic power generation facility in Sherman County.

Executive Order 25-29 - Reducing Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Advancing Oregon's Clean Energy Future (Information Item & Possible Action Item): Todd, Assistant Director for Siting/Council Secretary and Joni Sliger, Senior Clean Electricity Markets Analyst. Council will continue its review of the draft Oregon Department of Energy reports and may provide additional comments or a specific statement in the Report on Siting and Permitting Large-Scale Electricity Infrastructure.
