Rockwood School District and SEMO Join Forces to Advance Educational Opportunities for Local Educators

The Rockwood School District is partnering with Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) through the innovative SEMO Educators Advantage program. This collaboration opens new doors for Rockwood faculty and staff by providing access to academic growth and professional development opportunities while reaffirming SEMO's dedication to strengthening educational opportunities across Eastern Missouri and supporting local school districts.

Through the SEMO Educators Advantage program, Rockwood faculty and staff will benefit from a tuition discount on SEMO's online programs, including undergraduate, graduate, and pathways for paraprofessionals programs. This support enables educators to elevate their qualifications affordably and conveniently, ultimately benefiting the district's students and broader community.

"Rockwood is excited to partner with the Educators Advantage Program and expand opportunities for our employees to pursue continued professional growth," said Dr. Jennifer Martin, director of human resources at Rockwood School District. "Investing in education strengthens both individual career development and organizational excellence."

SEMO President Dr. Brad Hodson emphasized the University's commitment to partnerships and supporting local schools.

"Partnering with Rockwood is another step in SEMO's mission to lead, not follow," said Dr. Hodson. "We're not just supporting educators, but we're building a powerful network of leaders who are shaping the future of education across the region. With each new partnership, SEMO's impact grows and we're proud to be setting the pace."

The Educators Advantage program is part of SEMO's broader commitment to educational excellence and workforce development across the region. By building partnerships with school districts like Rockwood, SEMO is making higher education more accessible and affordable for educators, ultimately supporting student achievement and advancing community growth.
