No Valley Line Southeast LRT service on September 21

September 11, 2025

On Sunday, September 21, the entire Valley Line Southeast LRT line will close to accommodate the safe completion of essential inspections, maintenance and repairs. While this work, which will be completed by TransEd, the consortium responsible for operating the Valley Line Southeast, is necessary, there are no major repairs or critical work being done during this closure. Crews will use this time to do inspections, station cleaning and maintenance, all of which are essential to maintaining a reliable and safe LRT line.

LRT replacement buses will provide service to riders and will run between Mill Woods and downtown for the duration of the closure. LRT replacement buses will run:

  • Every 15 minutes from the start of service until noon
  • Every 10 minutes between noon and 7 p.m.
  • Every 15 minutes from 7 p.m. until the end of service
Riders can plan their trip at edmonton.ca/transit or on third-party tools, such as Google Maps.

Regular Valley Line Southeast LRT service will resume at the start of service on September 22.

The City and TransEd appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while this work is completed.
