City of Olathe Earns Leading the Way AwardThis is the sixth consecutive year for Olathe to earn this achievement
The City of Olathe has earned the Leading the Way Award, which is the top achievement from the ETC Institute. This is the sixth consecutive year for Olathe to earn this achievement and the only city of county to achieve this designation as many times.
The Leading the Way Award honors local governments ranking in the top 10% nationwide for overall satisfaction with services, customer service provided by employees, and the value residents receive for local taxes and fees.
Olathe's results ranked more than 20% above national benchmarks in 31 key service areas including yard and waste removal, household hazardous waste disposal, stormwater management, and overall effectiveness of communication with the public.
In 2020, the ETC Institute introduced the Leading the Way Award to formally acknowledge top-preforming communities for their dedication to exceptional service delivery. The City of Olathe has won the award each year of its existence.
