The Executive Committee of BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg is deeply saddened by the situation in Iran and neighbouring regions. Our thoughts and sympathy are with the people on the ground and with the members of our university who are worried about their families and friends.
These are difficult and uncertain times that directly affect many BTU students and staff - through their background, family connections or friendships.
We are committed to providing all BTU members with a safe and supportive environment in which they can achieve their academic and personal goals. Our teaching staff will be happy to support our students if needed. We also offer to utilise the psychological support services available at our university
At BTU, we are committed to democratic values, respect, tolerance and peaceful interaction with one another. People from over 125 countries and a wide variety of faiths live, study and research here. Racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination of any kind have no place at our university.
