"I am proud and humbled," said Lt. Col. Jonathan Kuhn, the USAG Italy provost marshal. "This recognition is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and professionalism of the Fire Emergency Services (FES) team."

The Vicenza-based team faced a rigorous selection process, competing against other garrisons across Europe. Fire Chief Adam Montoya noted the significance of the win, saying that it was the first time in six years the garrison had seen winners in multiple categories simultaneously.

"Your hard work and resolve continue to set the standard for excellence in our profession," Montoya told the firefighters.

The Vicenza winners now move forward to represent the region at the Headquarters IMCOM level, with the potential to compete at the Department of the Army level later this year.
