Budrys: We are interested in expanding our bilateral cooperation with Chile

On 20 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, met with Senator José Manuel Rojo Edwards Silva of Chile on the sidelines of the Miami Security Forum.

During the meeting, the head of Lithuania's diplomacy emphasized the significant potential for strengthening bilateral cooperation between Chile and Lithuania in key sectors important to both countries.

"Chile is among Lithuania's key economic partners in South America. We are interested in expanding cooperation between Lithuania and Chile in the areas of innovation and high-tech, cybersecurity, life sciences, space industry, and other areas of strategic importance to both countries," said Minister Budrys.

During the conversation, Minister Budrys also thanked Chile for its support for the issue of Ukraine's territorial integrity and stressed the importance of international efforts to put pressure on Russia and stop its war of aggression against Ukraine.
