Bettendorf Fire Responds to 16 Grove Park Circle

March 6, 2026 - On Friday, March 6, at approximately 6:08 a.m., the Bettendorf Fire Department (BFD) was dispatched to a report of a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, crews observed active fire on the exterior rear side of the home.

The first-arriving engine companies quickly extinguished the exterior fire and made entry into the home where they pulled ceilings in order to access the attic. The fire in the attic area was extinguished, and portions of the soffit and siding were exposed to check for existing hot spots. Crews then conducted extensive salvage and overhaul operations around the area of origin to check for any remaining fire extension.

Two residents were home at the time of the incident and were safely outside in their vehicle when firefighters arrived. No injuries to the residents or firefighters have been reported at this time.

Crews remain on scene, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.

The Bettendorf Fire Department was assisted by the Rock Island Arsenal Fire Department, LeClaire Fire Department, and Medic EMS of Scott County.
