Starting June 4th, 2026, Southwest Airlines will inaugurate new daily nonstop service between Kansas City International Airport (MCI) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), as well as weekend service to Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) and Norfolk International Airport (ORF).
These flights will give travelers access to more east coast destinations for their summer travel, whether they want to see the historic sights of Boston or take in the beaches of coastal Virginia, Georgia and the Carolinas.
"Southwest Airlines' growth in Kansas City is an excellent indicator of a region on the rise," said Melissa Cooper, Director of Aviation. "These new flights offer travelers more options and easier itineraries to some of our most requested destinations."
Southwest's decision to add these new flights brings nonstop access to some of Kansas City's top unserved and underserved routes. Additionally, Southwest is also increasing frequency on existing routes to major destinations including Los Angeles International (LAX), Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS), and New York's LaGuardia Airport (LGA).
