Tricia Wisner has been named the City of North Port's Assistant City Manager, rounding out City Manager Jerome Fletcher's leadership team.

She was selected from a pool of internal candidates following a hiring process that included a panel of external professional development experts and a regional City Manager.

Wisner brings a strong track record of leadership across multiple City departments. She joined the North Port Parks & Recreation Department in 2017, was eventually promoted to Assistant Director, and helped lead major projects, including the North Port Aquatic Center and the Boundless Adventures Playground.

In July 2022, she transitioned to the Department of Public Works as Assistant Director and later Deputy Director, overseeing key infrastructure initiatives including road rehabilitation projects and the widening of Price Boulevard. She was appointed Utilities Director in 2025, where she continued to support essential services and the City's growth.

Wisner is nearing completion of a doctorate in public administration from Valdosta State University and holds a Master of Business Administration from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.

"Tricia brings a proven track record of leadership, collaboration and results," Fletcher said. "Her experience across departments and her commitment to serving our community make her an excellent choice for Assistant City Manager."

Wisner assumes a position left vacant after Julie Bellia's promotion to Deputy City Manager. Bellia was appointed to the deputy position in April.

As the Assistant City Manager, Wisner will be responsible for multiple departments that are to be determined.

"I am honored to step into the role of Assistant City Manager," Wisner said. "I look forward to continuing to serve the North Port community and working alongside our team to support the City's priorities and future growth."
