(LOS ANGELES) Katten announced today that Brandy Worden has joined the firm's Los Angeles office as a partner in its Intellectual Property practice. Worden advises clients on privacy, technology and artificial intelligence (AI) matters, bringing extensive experience counseling global companies on complex regulatory, compliance, litigation and investigatory issues at the intersection of technology, data and innovation.

Drawing on experience both in private practice and in-house, including leading a global privacy team at Meta, Worden counsels clients across a range of industries, including technology, retail, healthcare, hospitality, media and financial services, on privacy, technology and AI governance matters, regulatory investigations, cyber incident preparedness and response, and complex disputes involving privacy and data protection issues. She also advises clients on a broad range of federal, state and international privacy and technology laws and has helped organizations develop compliance programs involving emerging technologies, including AI, blockchain, biometrics, cloud services, social media platforms and other data-driven technologies.

Worden's privacy and AI governance credentials include Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), Artificial Intelligence Governance Professional (AIGP), Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US) and Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) designations from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), as well as a Harvard Cybersecurity Risk Management Certification.
