Assemblymember Mike Fong Presents $2.5 Million in State Funding to Chinatown Service Center in Monterey Park

MONTEREY PARK, CA - Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra) joined Chinatown Service Center (CSC) yesterday to present a ceremonial check for $2.5 million in state funding to support its Workforce Development Center and Behavioral Health Center. The funding will help expand access to workforce development opportunities, behavioral health resources, and essential support services for individuals and families throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

"Chinatown Service Center has been a vital resource for our communities, connecting individuals and families with the services they need to thrive," said Assemblymember Mike Fong. "I am proud to help secure $2.5 million in state funding to strengthen workforce development opportunities and expand access to behavioral health services. These investments are about ensuring our communities have the resources and support they need to build healthier, more stable futures."

For more than 55 years, Chinatown Service Center has served communities across the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles area, providing a wide range of services, including healthcare, behavioral health, social services, economic development, and workforce development programs.

Assemblymember Fong and Peter Ng were joined by members of the CSC Board, staff, and community members. The check presentation was held at Chinatown Service Center's future Workforce Development Center in Monterey Park.
