Premier joined 33 other healthcare and manufacturing organizations in sending a letter to House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-MO) expressing support for the Medical Supply Chain Resiliency Act (H.R. 2213), bipartisan legislation that Premier has helped to advance.

In the letter, the coalition highlighted ongoing supply chain vulnerabilities and emphasized the need for greater domestic manufacturing alongside diversified sourcing through trusted trade partners to support patient care, public health and national security. The groups urge the committee to consider the bill, which would authorize the U.S. Trade Representative to negotiate medical supply chain security agreements to promote fair treatment for U.S. healthcare goods abroad and strengthen access to essential medical supplies for providers.
