ikhlas.com Zakat Fest 2025: Empowering Strategic Impact Through Zakat

SEPANG, 28 October 2025 - Ikhlas Com Travel & Umrah Sdn Bhd (ikhlas.com) continues to strengthen its position as Malaysia's leading digital zakat platform, having successfully recorded over RM50 million in zakat collection through collaborations with zakat institutions nationwide.

The achievement was announced in conjunction with the second edition of Zakat Fest 2025, ikhlas.com's flagship annual event celebrating the strategic role of zakat in building sustainable communities, strengthening social justice and supporting an inclusive economy.

Chief Executive Officer of ikhlas.com, Ikhlas Kamarudin said: "We are targeting RM100 million in zakat collection next year, which will be channelled to support those in need through the AirAsia Wakalah Fund."

The fund is a high-impact initiative established through corporate zakat and wakalah contributions via the ikhlas.com platform. It comprises cash assistance for low-income households, education assistance (Ikhlas Untukmu) for students from underprivileged families, emergency relief for disaster victims and urgent needs and free basic fardhu ain classes for community empowerment.

In addition to announcing the collection milestone, ikhlas.com also revealed an expanded strategic collaboration with new state zakat institutions - Pusat Kutipan Zakat Pahang, Majlis Ugama Islam Sabah (MUIS) and Majlis Agama Islam Negeri Johor (MAINJ).

Ikhlas adds: "We extend our utmost appreciation to the state zakat authorities for their trust and partnership with ikhlas.com in strengthening the impact and efficiency of zakat collection through a more unified, transparent, and fast digital ecosystem.

"This collaboration not only enhances digital integration but also optimises fund allocation and improves transparency in the distribution of zakat to eligible recipients," he said.

With the addition of the new institutions, ikhlas.com now collaborates with a total of 10 state zakat authorities, making it the official zakat collection partner for the majority of zakat bodies in Malaysia under the Capital A group.

Zakat Fest 2025 also celebrated excellence in ethical and impactful giving through the Best Employer and Top Zakat Contributor awards.
