The digital ad ecosystem is undergoing an evolution as AI transforms how advertisers and publishers buy and sell ads. To help our partners stay at the forefront of this shift, we're announcing an AI agent in Google Ad Manager, and we're evolving our capabilities throughout the year to enable our customers to do more with AI.

Meet Ask Ad Manager

Ask Ad Manager, built with Gemini, is our multi-turn, conversational agent that helps publishers get deeper insights, understand their performance and make better decisions faster. And because it's specific to each publisher, using just their own data, it provides personalized answers and recommendations while keeping your data safe and you in control. Here are three capabilities to look forward to.

  1. Troubleshoot in real time: Diagnose and resolve issues without interrupting workflows.

Instead of manually trying to find out what's wrong with a line item by generating reports and sifting through data, now you can use Ask Ad Manager. You'll get insights and guidance and can ask follow up questions, which can help you identify and resolve issues and unblock revenue.

2. Monitor performance with a prompt: Access custom metrics and complex reports with a single prompt.

Sometimes you need a specific metric to understand the performance of your inventory. Instead of manually creating and stitching together multiple reports, now you can prompt Ask Ad Manager, and it will generate a report, table or comparative benchmark that shares deeper insights quickly.

3. Navigate with ease: We're putting Ad Manager at your fingertips, making it easier to access key destinations right from the chat.

Ask Ad Manager will save publishers time. Instead of clicking around the platform, you'll get personalized guidance and strategically created links that direct you to the right place in Ad Manager. And Ask Ad Manager loads the right filters and settings based on the context of your conversation so you can see the details you were looking for.

By optimizing common workflows and moving you from asking to doing, Ask Ad Manager can free up time for more strategic work. Ask Ad Manager will be available in beta this month, and new skills will be rolled out throughout the year.

Look forward to a more agentic Ad Manager

Agentic capabilities are transforming the ad tech industry as we know it, and we're working with leading publishers and agencies to build for a future where AI will improve the campaign lifecycle, from inventory discoverability to pricing and campaign execution.

Publishers like Yahoo are already integrating Ad Manager into custom agents to streamline their ad operations, from forecasting and line item creation to reporting and campaign optimization. To help make these integrations even easier, we will be releasing new developer tools later this year (REST APIs and an MCP server) to support key trafficking workflows. We're also developing specialized agents for publishers and agencies - so you can more efficiently discover, negotiate and execute campaigns directly from our platform - and infrastructure that will allow first- and third-party agents to interact at scale. Our goal is to work alongside our partners to build a future where AI helps you manage and grow your advertising business.
