Softcat is working with Northamptonshire PFCC and BlueLight Commercial to deliver value to the public sector
Softcat is proud to announce its successful inclusion on the newly launched ICT Framework led by the Northamptonshire Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (PFCC), in partnership with BlueLight Commercial. This framework award demonstrates Softcat's ongoing commitment to providing the highest level of support and capability across policing in the UK, working closely with Northamptonshire PFCC and BlueLight Commercial to deliver value back to public sector customers.
The ICT Framework is designed to transform how emergency services and public bodies purchase and use digital tools, enabling smarter, faster, and more cost-effective service delivery. The Framework empowers organisations to make future-proof choices that enhance frontline capabilities and ensure public money is spent wisely. Customers will benefit in several key ways:
Covering ten specialist areas, from IT hardware and software to training and digital transformation-the ICT Framework, and the 27 suppliers who have joined, is already helping Northamptonshire Police and Fire and Rescue Service deliver their Digital, Data and Technology (DDAT) strategy. Every purchase made through the Framework meets high standards and delivers real value.
"Softcat is delighted to be working closely with Northamptonshire PFCC and Bluelight Commercial to deliver value to contracting authorities through this new, forward-thinking framework", said Laurie Meldon, Softcat's Team Leader for Emergency Services. "This award is testament to Softcat's capability to provide innovative technology solutions at the highest standards across UK policing and the wider public sector."
Developed with BlueLight Commercial, the national commercial body for policing, established by the Home Office, the Framework streamlines procurement by conducting supplier checks upfront and maintaining them annually. This reduces delays and risks, while supporting the adoption of vital tools such as digital evidence platforms and data analysis systems.
Danielle Stone, Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner for Northamptonshire, said, "This is about making smart choices that benefit the people of Northamptonshire. By working together nationally with BlueLight Commercial, we're able to futureproof reliable solutions that help keep our communities safe and ensure every pound goes further."
The savings generated through the Framework are invested in public services and policing nationally, strengthening local delivery and supporting innovation across the board.
Softcat's inclusion on the ICT Framework marks another milestone in its mission to empower public sector organisations with technology that drives efficiency, security and service excellence.
