New small business workshop series coming to Ventura City Hall

Ventura, Calif.- The City of Ventura is partnering with the Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) and the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) to launch Ready • Set • Grow, a free three-part workshop series held at Ventura City Hall located at 501 Poli Street in the Community Meeting Room on Thursdays, October 2, 9, and 16, 2025, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.

Designed for local entrepreneurs and small business owners in their first few years of operation, the in-person series offers practical tools and hands-on training to help participants strengthen their foundation and plan for long-term growth.

Participants will explore three key areas of business success on the following Thursdays:

  • October 2, 2025 - Build It Right: Focusing on legal structure, licensing, and business planning
  • October 9, 2025 - Money Moves: Covering financial planning, funding, and growth strategies
  • October 16, 2025 - Make It Matter: Exploring marketing strategies and content planning

Each workshop will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., with check-in starting at 8:00 a.m.
