On May 15, H.E. Ambassador Ouyang Yujing attended and delivered remarks at the Opening Ceremony of 2026 China Smart Industry Trade Exhibition. Also present were Deputy Minister of Communications of Malaysia, Teo Nie Ching and President of China Entrepreneurs Association in Malaysia (PUCM), Li Zhongping, along with nearly 200 guests from various sectors. The exhibition showcased China's technological innovation achievements in Artificial Intelligence, information and communication technology, and smart manufacturing.
Ambassador Ouyang said that China stands ready to work with Malaysia to strengthen research and development cooperation, industrial synergy, and talent exchange in areas such as technological innovation, digital economy, and Artificial Intelligence, harnessing the fruits of scientific and technological innovation to better serve economic and social development of both countries, as well as contribute to regional prosperity, stability, and sustainability.
Teo Nie Ching said that Malaysia welcomes Chinese enterprises to deepen cooperation with Malaysian partners in advanced digital technologies, Artificial Intelligence, 5G applications, and other areas in pursuit of mutual benefit and win-win results.
After the Opening Ceremony, Ambassador Ouyang and Teo Nie Ching, along with other guests, visited a number of participating exhibitors.
