The 21st Cutting Dream Contest: Winners announced!

DMG MORI CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "DMG MORI") proudly announces the winners of the 21st Cutting Dream Contest.

Since 2004, the Cutting Dream Contest has brought together companies, educational institutions, and research organizations involved in machining that use advanced manufacturing equipment, including machine tools, additive manufacturing machines, and laser processing machines. By offering a competitive platform to study, improve, and exchange machining technologies and skills, the contest aims to spark innovation and dedication to drive continuous technological advancements worldwide.
This year, Professor Naohiko Sugita of the University of Tokyo chaired the selection committee of six judges to choose 4 winning entries in Production Parts Machining, 7 in Prototype & Test Cut Machining, 4 in Artistic Form Machining, 4 in Advanced Machining, and 5 in Academic Research out of 63 entries in total.
Now, we are looking forward to the award ceremony on Tuesday, October 27, at Tokyo Kaikan (Marunouchi, Tokyo), where the winners will receive certificates and monetary prizes. All entries will be on display at the DMG MORI booth at JIMTOF 2026 from October 26 to 31, and after the award ceremony, at the DMG MORI's Tokyo Global Headquarters (Shiomi, Tokyo) and Iga Campus (Mie).
DMG MORI will continue to host various events and provide opportunities for industry-wide technological exchange and advancement. An overview of the Dream Contest and previous winners can be found on our website.
