Guest Artists Recital: Korean Ensemble Recital

The Guest Artist Recital, "The PAAN of Haegeum: Across Time and Place," will be at 7:30 p.m. in Max Noah Recital Hall at Georgia College & State University. Haegeum artist Sunghee Lee and pianist Hue Jang will present a journey through Korean traditional music, contemporary compositions, literary inspiration, and newly reimagined popular melodies. Featuring the world premiere of a new work by San Francisco-based composer Hyo-shin Na, the program reveals the haegeum as an instrument of tradition, experimentation, storytelling, and cultural connection. Rather than presenting a single musical style, the concert highlights the haegeum's ability to move between restraint and intensity, solitude and celebration, and tradition and contemporary expression.
