Oregonians Invited to Honor Generations of Service at Statewide Veterans Day Ceremony Nov. 11

The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs will honor generations of Oregon veterans and their service to our nation during the 2026 Oregon Statewide Veterans Day Ceremony, beginning at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 11, on the Capitol Mall in Salem.

This year's ceremony will feature remarks by veterans, service members, state leaders and other dignitaries along with traditional military and patriotic observances, including a bagpipe performance, presentation of the colors and the national anthem.

"For more than a century, Americans have come together on Veterans Day, united in gratitude for those who have served and the families who have stood beside them," said ODVA Director Dr. Nakeia Council Daniels. "Our nation's strength lives in the people who step forward to serve with honor and, across generations, bring that same commitment home to their communities. We warmly invite you to join us at the Capitol to honor their service, remember their sacrifices and celebrate the veterans, service members and families who served our nation."

The Statewide Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at Oregon State Capitol State Park on the Capitol Mall, directly across Court Street from the front entrance of the Capitol Building. The event is free and open to the public. Seating will be available, and attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather.

For those unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be livestreamed on ODVA's Facebook page at facebook.com/odvavet.
