Tourin' Bearcats announce 2027 trip to Hawaii after return from Rome

Northwest Missouri State University's Tourin' Bearcats, a travel program for alumni and friends, is now accepting reservations for its next tour to experience a Hawaiian adventure.

The excursion, which is scheduled for May 20-29, 2027, will consist of a leisurely tour featuring three-night stays on the islands of O'ahu, Hawaiʻi and Maui.

Travelers will visit the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, take in the natural beauty of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park and enjoy the hula dance, an ancient Polynesian art form. The tour also will include a visit to a coffee farm in Kona and learn about the coffee bean's journey from tree to cup.

Prices begin at $6,899 per person, and a $698 deposit is due at the time of reservation. The early deposit deadline is Nov. 13, with final payment due Feb. 19, 2027.

The trip includes transportation to and from Maryville to Kansas City International Airport, round-trip airfare, and 13 meals consisting of nine breakfasts and four dinners.

Rates are based on double occupancy and departure from Kansas City International Airport and include taxes, fees and hotel transfers. Cancellation waiver and insurance are available for purchase. All rates are per person and subject to change.

Tourin' Bearcats programs, which are sponsored by the Northwest Alumni Association, are available to the public. Reservations are limited.

"This will be another fun adventure for the group as we explore the wonderful state of Hawaii," Northwest Director of Alumni Relations Duane Havard said. "Our 2026 trip brought together Bearcat alumni and friends from all over the United States, and we welcome anyone interested to sign up."

Most recently, the Tourin' Bearcats sponsored a trip that traveled May 25 through June 3 to experience Rome and the Amalfi Coast. The tour featured visits to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona, Imperial Fora, Pompeii and Sorrento as well as a winery and farmhouse.
