Good afternoon. Let me start today's briefing.

Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Jina will hold a meeting with Secretary General of the European External Action Service (EEAS) Belen Martinez Carbonell tomorrow morning, March 27.

Korea, as a country that has concluded all three major agreements with the EU, has deepened cooperation based on the Strategic Partnership, including through the adoption of the Security and Defence Partnership and the establishment of three key partnerships.

This year, the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the European External Action Service have strengthened communication at various levels by holding the second Korea-EU Strategic Dialogue, the Korea-EU High-Level Political Dialogue, the Korea-EU Joint Committee, and this meeting between the Vice Minister and the EEAS Secretary General.

During the upcoming meeting, the two sides will discuss ways to advance the Korea-EU Strategic Partnership and enhance Korea-EU cooperation on the international stage, and exchange views on regional situations.
