The Queen's Health Systems (Queen's) has announced the appointment of Bruce Nakaoka as Executive Vice President for Endowment and Chief Investment Officer.
Nakaoka is responsible for the management of the Queen's endowment, which consists of real estate assets and financial investments.
Nakaoka replaces Eric Martinson who has transitioned to Strategic Advisor to the Executive Vice President, Endowment, and Chief Investment Officer. Over the past 15 years, as the architect of Queen's endowment model, Martinson successfully integrated Queen Emma Land Company's (QELC) legacy real estate and QHS' financial assets into a stable and diversified portfolio. The growth of the endowment has allowed Queen's to expand key programs and services in support of its perpetual mission and health care initiatives.
Nakaoka has served as QELC Vice President, an integral role in the continued execution of QELC's Waikīkī Strategic Asset Management plan. He has also been an important resource to Queen's, providing support for real estate transactions.
