"On a day of community celebration and joy, Meah Bordenave-Jenkin's vibrant young life was suddenly and horrifically taken, two others were injured and a community was ripped apart because of senseless gun violence," Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman said. "We will do everything in our power to seek justice for the victims and keep violent offenders off the streets. To the victims' families and surviving victims, our office's Bureau of Victim Services is here to offer trauma-informed support as the case moves through the criminal justice system."
