The City of Nampa is committed to making informed decisions regarding the future of the Ford Idaho Center and continues to discuss options about its future. The discussion about the challenges with funding the Ford Idaho Center and its future began in early July with the consideration of conveying the property to the College of Western Idaho.
At the September 15 meeting*, Nampa City Council voted (4-2) to declare, through resolution, that the property is underutilized, and to notice a public hearing for October 6 to further discuss the options of selling, conveying or keeping the property (to read the full resolution, click here).
Council also voted (4-2) to set the minimum bid for the Ford Idaho Center to be $75 million, should the option of selling the property be pursued following the public hearing.
The public is invited to review information on our website, which includes a summary of community feedback and financial information on our website at cityofnamapa.us/fic.
