Peter Electronic VSII Plus AC Softstarters from AutomationDirect

March 11, 2026 - AutomationDirect has added Peter Electronic VSII Plus soft starters which provide durability, a high number of starts/hour, and a simple setup for standard or light-duty applications up to 105A. Quick configuration is achieved by adjusting the positions of 3 trim pots, and status LEDs indicate the units' operational status. Built-in DIN-rail mounting and quick-connect I/O wiring terminals make electrical installation easy.

These soft starters are powered from any three-phase 200-480 VAC power source. They operate using microprocessor control of two phases with thyristors, then switch over to line voltage using internal bypass contactors. Every model offered has a compact frame that is 45mm wide for 6-32 amp models, 55mm wide for 38-65 amp models, and 81mm wide for 80-105 amp models. They are suitable for use with any Class 5 or 10 soft starter application and support six-wire in-delta motor connections. An optional fan is also available for 38-105 amp models, which doubles the starts/hour rating.
