Flood Preparedness & Protection Resources
In response to the heavy rainfall and flooding our area received on Sunday, September 13, the City of Stamford activated its Emergency Operations Center (EOC) at 8:00 am, to monitor conditions and coordinate Public Safety and Operations resources. City personnel responded to numerous streets, intersections, residences, and businesses affected by high-water conditions.
The City continues to work with the Connecticut Division of Emergency Management and Homeland Security and FEMA to help residents and business needing to document impacts and support the recovery process.
If your home or business experienced flood-related damage, please report it-even if cleanup or repairs have already begun.
The CrisisTrack survey helps State and local officials document the extent of flood damage and assess potential eligibility for State, FEMA, and/or SBA assistance.
Submitting a report does not guarantee financial assistance, and certain losses may not qualify. Residents and businesses should retain photos, insurance information, receipts, estimates, and other documentation related to the damage.
Additional information regarding flood preparedness and protection and resources can be found on the city's website . You can also submit a Fix It ticket , which will help City Operations keep track and document impacted areas.
