JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Bridge work is set to begin Monday, June 8, on the Missouri Route 8 bridge over the Meramec River in Crawford County, southeast of St. James.
Construction crews working with the Missouri Department of Transportation will rehabilitate the bridge to repair areas of soil erosion where material has washed away near the bridge substructure.
To complete the work, intermittent lane closures will be in place with flaggers guiding traffic through the work zone from Monday, June 8, through the end of August. Crews are expected to work Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Delays are possible.
All work is weather-permitting, and schedules are subject to change.
MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
