Power to remain off overnight in Natuashish

Hydro is advising that power will remain off for some customers in Natuashish overnight tonight (September 11, 2026).

Approximately 150 customers in the area lost power around 12:45 a.m. Unfortunately, all flights into the community are cancelled for today due to weather conditions. We have a helicopter on standby to bring our crew to Natuashish tomorrow, as soon as conditions improve. Once they are in the area, they will investigate and confirm any repairs needed to restore power for customers.

We know that extended outages are difficult. Please stay safe - remember to only operate generators outdoors, use flashlights instead of candles, and check in with your friends and family.
