Chinese Ambassador to Malta Zhang Zuo Pays a Courtesy Call on the President of Malta

On September 15, 2026, H.E. Ambassador Zhang Zuo paid a visit to H.E. Myriam Spiteri Debono, the President of Malta. They exchanged views on bilateral relations and pragmatic cooperation between China and Malta.

Ambassador Zhang noted that the traditional friendship between China and Malta continues to flourish, and practical cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, culture, education, healthcare, and green energy has been steadily deepening, bringing tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries. China-Malta relations have become a model for relations between countries of different sizes, with different social systems, and different historical and cultural backgrounds. Under the guidance of the leaders of both countries, China is willing to comprehensively expand mutually beneficial cooperation with Malta and promote the bearing of more fruitful results in bilateral relations.
