The Untold Story of... Olivia MacGregor '23

Apr 10, 2026
  1. I was originally born in Bedford, England! My father is originally from there while my mom is a New Yorker! I lived there until 2007 when I moved to New York and have been living here ever since. I have dual citizenship and love to go back and see my family and my second home whenever I can!
  2. Speaking of London whenever I can, I will be going back this summer to see Harry Styles play at Wembley Stadium. I am a huge Harry Styles and One Direction fan! I had the privilege of seeing One Direction twice (with and without Zayn) and I have seen them with Harry four times. This will be my fifth (six will be at MSG this fall!) and I have seen Niall at SPAC!
  3. I am a huge theater and choir kid. I grew up doing theater and was able to perform as Annie in Annie, a stepsister in Cinderella, Alice in Alice in Wonderland, and many more over the years. Some of my favorite childhood memories come from rehearsals and show nights with my friends. I did choir from 5th grade through college! I was in the Siena choir and chamber singers!
  4. I am currently getting my masters at SUNY Oswego where I am studying strategic communications! The course is 100% online, but I am still able to learn a lot and expand on my knowledge that Siena provided me in the communications program!
  5. I have been privileged to see many shows on Broadway. My Uncle Joe introduced me to the world of theater at a young age and we have been going to see shows since I can remember. I have seen over 40 shows now with some of my favorites being Hamilton, Les Miserables, Just In Time, and Funny Girl!
  6. During my time at Siena, I worked in the SEED office with Holly Cheverton for all four years. For three of those years I was a mentor to freshmen. Her office was one of my safe places where I felt like I could always be myself and help freshmen navigate their way through their first year of college.
  7. I was lucky enough to find so many forever friends during my time at Siena. As much as I valued the education I received, my best takeaway was the people I got to know and meet along the way. I think that Siena is home to just so many great people and I am so thankful for the people that Siena allowed me to meet!
  8. Brant Lake, NY is where I spend my summers! My whole family gets together for a week in the summer and it is a week I look forward to all year! My uncle bought a lake house the year I was born and so I have literally been going my whole life! I love kayaking, swimming, and lounging around with my cousins. Now my cousins have all had kids so our family is growing and it is so nice to see how special those memories are through the kids eyes!
  9. I have been working in the Development office for almost three years now! This is my first job out of college and I was nervous and didn't know what to expect. Through this job, I have been able to meet so many great people through our alumni network! Alumni Weekend is one of my favorite weekends because I get to talk to and meet so many people who are connected through Siena! It is a lot of work but always so rewarding to see people reunite with their friends and come back to a place that we all love!
  10. I got to see Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration in 2022 in London! I had booked my visit to see my family unaware that a week-long celebration was happening all across the country. My aunt, uncle, cousin, and sister all took a trip into London and had a picnic in one of the parks! We saw the flight show go overhead with helicopters, and jets, and all different planes! The royal guards came through the park on horses, and there was just so much celebration happening in the streets. And, rarely in England, it was a beautiful day! We even got sunburned!
