Dear NALEO Members, Partners, and Friends,
As we close out 2025, we reflect on a year marked by significant challenges, dedicated effort, and enduring hope for the future. Across the nation, Latino families - like so many others - have faced pronounced economic hardship. We have also witnessed an intensified immigration enforcement landscape. And for many, there is a growing sense that the American dream and the well-being of our communities are under threat.
These challenges are real. So is the resilience of our community. That is why it is vital we honor that resilience alongside the dedication and leadership that carried our communities through demanding and uncertain times. In a year filled with complex challenges, Latino elected and appointed officials, civic leaders, and partners showed up with clarity, compassion, and commitment. Your leadership made a profound difference for families across the country.
This summer, we came together in Atlanta for the NALEO 42nd Annual Conference, where leaders from across the nation shared strategies, elevated solutions, and built connections to navigate an increasingly complex governing landscape. It was one of our most engaged gatherings yet, and a powerful reminder of the strength of our network.
In October, we were proud to honor Congressman Darren Soto with the Edward R. Roybal Award for Outstanding Public Service in Washington, D.C. His leadership reflects the very best of our community and the values that guide us.
Throughout the year, NALEO Educational Fund worked alongside you to ensure that leaders and community members had access to trusted information, practical tools, and support. Together, we accomplished a great deal:
More than 50,000 calls to our national bilingual hotline provided timely and reliable guidance to voters and aspiring citizens.
In 2025, 5,567 completed N-400 applications opened new doors for thousands of families and saved applicants more than 2.1 million dollars in fees.
A total of 1,051 leaders participated in NALEO programs, representing nearly 200 million constituents whose daily lives are shaped by responsive and effective public service.
