On Saturday, the George Washington University's Honey W. Nashman Center for Civic Engagement and Public Service and the Division for Student Affairs' Office of Military & Veteran Services co-hosted the Veteran Day of Service. This annual event brings together members of GW's military-affiliated community along with other students, faculty and staff to volunteer across the Washington, D.C. region.
This year, more than 100 volunteers spent their Saturday completing beautification projects, serving local senior communities and more.
GW Today Senior Photographer William Atkins captured photos while one volunteer group assisted the National Park Service with clean-up efforts at the Jefferson Memorial.
