On 22 July 2026, H.E. Mr. Sarun Charoensuwan, Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs, delivered opening remarks at the Thailand - Korea Business Forum: Biohealth, Medtech, Wellness, and Future Food, hosted by the Royal Thai Embassy in Seoul, at the Lotte Hotel, Seoul. H.E. Mr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, also delivered a keynote address during the event.

The Vice Foreign Minister commended the Republic of Korea's rapid economic development and highlighted Thailand's strong potential for cooperation with the Republic of Korea. He also reaffirmed the stability of the current Thai Government and its commitment to enhancing economic standards and good governance through Thailand's accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), which will further facilitate the operations of Korean businesses in Thailand.

The seminar was held to promote trade and investment in the biotechnology sector between Thailand and the Republic of Korea, with senior representatives from the public and private sectors of both sides in attendance.
