Meeting of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs with Border Troops Personnel

On September 6, 2026, as part of the events dedicated to the 35th Anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farroukh Homiddin Sharifzoda met with the personnel of one of the military units of the Border Troops of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In his remarks, he highlighted the constructive role and significant contribution of the Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Flis Excellency Emomali Rahmon, to strengthening the foundations of national statehood, safeguarding state independence, and enhancing the country's defence and security capabilities.

It was emphasized that the Leader of the Nation's wise and far-sighted policy plays an important role in further strengthening statehood, preserving the achievements of independence, and creating favourable conditions for the country's continued development.

The meeting also underscored that protecting the state border is an honourable duty and a high patriotic responsibility. Loyalty to the military oath, discipline, vigilance, civic responsibility, and national consciousness should constitute the foundation of every servicemember's duty.

Particular attention was given to the close connection between reliable protection of the state border and the country's foreign policy activities. It was noted that the contribution of border guards to safeguarding Tajikistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity is of great importance.

At the conclusion of the meeting, upon the instruction of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan presented the personnel of the military unit with food products, hygiene supplies, and other essential items as a gesture of the Leader of the Nation's continued care and paternal support.
