"Peter And The Starcatcher" Musical
Six Performances May 1-9
Tickets, priced at $10 each, are on sale online now for the Rainbow Company Youth Theatre's presentations of "Peter and the Starcatcher," May 1-9, at the Charleston Heights Arts Center located at 800 Brush St. Reserved-seat tickets are on sale here for these six performances:
Friday, May 1 at 6 p.m.
Saturday, May 2, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
Friday, May 8 at 6 p.m.
Saturday, May 9, at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Tony Award-winning musical upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan becomes the boy who would not grow up, better known as Peter Pan. The story, appropriate for all ages, explores themes of greed, despair, friendship, duty and love. A young orphan and his companions are sent from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by the evil King Zarboff. During the voyage, the boys encounter Molly, a precocious young girl training to become a starcatcher. When pirates led by the fearsome Black Stache seize the ship, the journey turns into a fast-paced and thrilling adventure. The play was written by Rick Elice with music by Wayne Barker, and is directed by Robert Acosta and J.R. Coley. Musical direction is provided by Tim Warren.
The Rainbow Company Youth Theatre is a nationally acclaimed, award-winning youth theatre group. For 50 years, the company has provided professional theatre training for young people and theatre art classes for all ages. Students ages 10-18 work in all aspects of each production - costumes, makeup, sets, lights, sound and backstage crew - under the tutelage of professional directors and designers. Open auditions for this show were held Feb. 21, 2026.
"Peter and the Starcatcher" is double cast to allow maximum student participation. Attend more than once and see both the "Port" and "Starboard" casts/crews at work. Ahoy.
