COLUMBUS, OHIO - State Representative Kevin Ritter (R-Marietta) announced that the Ohio Controlling Board approved the release of funds earlier this week for a critical campus improvement project at Washington State Community College.
Funding has been allocated in the amount of $108,000 for a design services contract to modernize the Arts & Sciences building via upgrades to the facility's windows and HVAC system.
"It's great to see resources allocated toward upgrading the Arts & Sciences facility at Washington State Community College," said Rep. Ritter. "This is a smart investment into the future of the school and will help to promote an even better learning environment for students, staff and educators."
According to documents from the meeting, the projects will focus on upgrading the building's HVAC systems with modernized controls to ensure efficiency and code compliance, while also addressing the replacement or repair of all existing windows to improve performance, comfort, and overall building sustainability.
