Ricketts Issues Statement After Republicans Unite Around Bill to Protect Nebraskans, Pay Border Patrol and ICE
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator Pete Ricketts (R-NE) issued the following statement after Senate Republicans passed a budget resolution that would fund Border Patrol and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE):
"I joined my Republican colleagues in passing a budget resolution with full funding for Border Patrol and ICE.
"Democrats have shut down the Department of Homeland Security for over 110 days this Congress. They have prioritized political games and open borders. And they have shown they are unserious about the safety of our nation.
"Nebraska and the American people deserve better. Our brave women and men protecting the homeland deserve better."
