I-94 BL (Gratiot Road) improvements begin April 20 in St. Clair County

PORT HURON, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $1.5 million to make improvements to I-94 Business Loop (BL) (Gratiot Road) between Range Road and I-94 BL/M-29 in Marysville. Work includes concrete patching, joint sealing and sidewalk improvements.

Traffic Restrictions:
This work will be done in two stages. During stage one, the outside lanes of I-94 BL (Gratiot Road) will be closed with one lane open in each direction (plus the center left-turn lane). Stage one is expected to be completed in early July.

During stage two, the three inside lanes will be closed to traffic with the outer lanes open (one lane open in each direction).

Jobs numbers:
Based on economic modeling, this investment is expected to directly and indirectly support 13 jobs.

This work will provide drivers with a smoother, safer driving surface.
