COFFEE COUNTY I-24 (MM 117) construction of an overpass carrying Wattendorf Memorial Highway/AEDC Road, including grading, drainage, retaining walls, and paving: On Thursday 4/8 from 9 PM to 5 AM, I-24 will be reduced to one lane and diverted to the ramps across Wattendorf Highway then back onto the interstate at exit 117. COFFEE COUNTY I-24 TDOT Bridge Maintenance westbound at MM 100.2: Bridge repair operations will be completed on 04/15/2026 from 8 PM to 3 AM (pending weather). Traffic control will be in place, and THP will be assisting.

COFFEE COUNTY I-24 TDOT Contractor both directions from MM 111.2 to MM 110.8: On Thursday and Friday of this reporting period, the contractor will be closing the outside and inside shoulders on I-24 Eastbound and Westbound. This will be done during the day with no lane closures in the traffic lanes.

COFFEE COUNTY SR-55 construction from First Avenue (LM 2.0) to SR-16 (US-41A, N. Jackson St, LM 2.6) in Tullahoma: Phase 2 of roadway widening and bridge replacement on SR-55 (Wilson Ave.) will continue this week. Lanes will be reduced from 3 lanes to 2, with one lane in each direction throughout the project length. Drivers can expect intermittent flagging operations for construction operations and vehicles entering and exiting the work zone.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-24 [0-0.16] from Putnam County Line to C189 bridge repair: The contractor has started working on the bridge repair on I-40 at MM 304.6 or SR-24 at LM 0.24. The contractor is working behind the guardrail. Once additional work begins, additional lane closures may be necessary. Motorists should use caution in the area.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-24 [15.056-15.56] from Crossville city limits to Seventh-Day Adventist Church and School bridge replacement: The contractor has closed SR-24 at LM 15.06 to LM 15.6. This closure will remain in place for the duration of the project. The posted detour is along SR-462 and SR-1. The contractor will be working on general clearing activities and utility work initially. Once initial work is completed, the contractor will proceed with the replacement of the bridge over the Obed River. Motorists should use caution and utilize the posted detour. CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-28 (US-127) bridge construction and paving from north of I-40 (LM 17.8) to near Potato Farm Road (LM 22.7): The contractor continues grading activities throughout the project limits. Work will proceed on the existing alignment of SR-28. Flaggers are being used intermittently as needed to control traffic through the work zone. DEKALB COUNTY SR-26 [15.9-20.3] from Near Old Snow Hill Road to West of Curtis Road resurfacing: The contractor is scheduled to begin concrete curb work within the project limits starting 04/15/26. During this work, the contractor will have daily lane closures set up to facilitate the work. FENTRESS COUNTY SR-28 (N. YORK HWY.) TDOT Bridge Inspection both directions at LM 29.4: A routine inspection of the SR028 truss bridge over the Wolf River will require lane closures in both directions on Monday, April 14th. Flaggers will be present to direct motorists through the work zone. Work will begin in the northbound lane at 8:30 AM and will move to the southbound lane as the inspection progresses into the afternoon. Motorists are advised to be alert to the presence of flaggers, bridge inspection personnel, vehicles, and equipment and be prepared to stop as the approach the bridge from either direction. The inspection will be completed, and normal traffic will be restored no later than 3:00 PM.

FENTRESS COUNTY SR-52 (RUGBY PK.) TDOT Bridge Inspection westbound at LM 27.83: A routine inspection of the SR-52 bridge over Clear Creek will require closure of the westbound lane and shoulder to allow inspectors to use an under-bridge access vehicle. Flaggers will be present during the inspection to direct motorists through the work zone. This inspection will begin at 8:30 AM and will be completed by 11:00 AM.

FENTRESS COUNTY SR-85 (WILDER RD.) TDOT Bridge Inspection westbound at LM 5.67: A routine inspection of the SR-85 bridge over East Fork Obey River will require closure of the westbound lane from 12 PM until 3:30 PM on Tuesday, April 14th. Flaggers will be present to direct motorists through the work zone. Motorists are advised to approach the bridge with caution. Be prepared to stop when approaching the bridge from either direction. Be alert to the presence of flaggers, bridge inspection personnel, vehicles, and equipment on the bridge during the inspection.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction Phase 2: There is no lane closures scheduled during this time period (April 9 to April 15) for I-24 East and I-24 West from Germantown Road through the I-75 Interchange. Also, no lane closures are scheduled for I-75 North and I-75 South from Exit 1 (East Ridge) through Exit 3 (East Brainerd Road). However, it may be necessary to do short-duration (15 to 30 minutes) rolling roadblocks during the day or night for patching potholes, clearing debris or repairing guardrails, attenuators, etc.

HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at the Hamilton Place Mall interchange: The SR-153 southbound ramp to I-75 northbound has been reduced to one lane. Traffic shifts have been implemented on I-75 northbound and I-75 southbound, Shallowford Road entrance ramps, and Shallowford Road exit ramps and the Hamilton Place Mall exit ramp. Hamilton Loop Road is closed for retaining wall construction and storm drainage installation between the intersections near Markman's Jewelers and Texas Roadhouse. The speed limit has been reduced on I-75 throughout the project limits. Nightly lane closures are permitted 8 PM to 6 AM. TDOT Maintenance eastbound from LM 13.96 to LM 14.10: TDOT crews will be performing Roadway markings on the roadway at the intersection of Signal Mountain Boulevard and Suck Creek Road. This work will restrict traffic to 1 lane coming off the mountain. Work will begin on Tuesday, 04/21/26 at 9 am and last until 1 pm.

JACKSON COUNTY SR-53 [17.46-17.6] from south of Hurricane Branch to Near Hurricane Branch Lane culvert replacement: The contractor has completely closed the road through the work zone as of 03/04/26. Motorists need to use the posted detour route.

MARION COUNTY I-24 [137-138.2] from 137 to 138.2 Rockfall Mitigation on I-24 near MM 137: The contractor will be performing rockfall mitigation operations on I-24 WB beginning at MM 138.2 in Marion County. The middle lane, right lane, and right shoulder have been closed. 2 Lanes of traffic have been shifted to flow on the left shoulder and left lane. Blasting will also occur during the weekdays between 9 AM and 3 PM. Blasting operations will require a rolling roadblock. All lanes will be reopened to traffic by May 22, 2026. MARION COUNTY SR-108 [2.8-3.24] slide mitigation: The contractor will be performing slide mitigation operations, including grading, drainage, and paving on SR-108 in Marion County at LM 2.8. The roadway will be reduced to one lane controlled by temporary traffic signals. The project completion date is 08/31/2027. Please use caution when driving through the work zone.

POLK COUNTY SR-68 over SR-40 the construction of bridges: During this reporting period, the contractor will continue construction on the SR-68 South bridge. All SR-68 traffic will use the newly constructed SR-68 North bridge while construction occurs on the new SR-68 South bridge. All SR-40/SR-68 interchange traffic will utilize the SR-68 North interchange ramps. A temporary 3-way stop has been implemented at the intersection of the SR-40 interchange ramp and SR-68. Motorists are encouraged to slow down when entering the construction zone and look out for new stop signs on SR-68 near the SR-40/SR-68 interchange. REGION 2 Interstate and state route thermoplastic marking re-tracing.: Contractor will be placing thermoplastic pavement markings along SR-28 (LM 14.971 - 17.810) and SR101 (LM 18.030 - 26.600) in Cumberland County, Dekalb County SR-26 (LM 6.100 - 10.880), Fentress County SR-28 (LM 10.395 - 16.400), Overton County SR-52 (LM 6.500 - 10.155) and SR-111 (LM 0.000 - 9.370), Putnam County SR-24 (LM 15.710 - 23.723) and SR-135 (LM 7.380 - 9.750), and White County SR-1 (LM 7.700 - 8.700). During this work, the contractor will be utilizing a mobile operation, and motorists should expect a delay. Motorists should exercise caution when crews are present and be aware of wet edge lines. REGION 2: The drain cleaning on various Interstate and State Routes: Drain cleaning operations are planned on I-75 and I-24 in Hamilton County. These operations are mobile along the inside shoulders with impacts to adjacent traffic lanes and will occur at night between 8 PM and 6 AM.

REGION 2 The on-call cable barrier repair on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor will have short-term shoulder and/or lane closures in order to perform cable barrier rail repair. These closures will take place daily, Monday through Friday, during daylight hours on the interstates and some major divided highway state routes. There may also be nightly Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 6 AM, rarely and only as needed. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times. REGION 2 The on-call guardrail repair and new guardrail installation on various Interstate and State Routes: The contractor will have short-term shoulder and/or lane closures to perform guardrail repair. At least one travel lane will remain open to traffic at all times on the interstate, and flaggers will be present on state routes during any work that is performed. REGION 2 The random on-call attenuator repair on various Interstate and State Route: The on-call attenuator repair contractor will have a lane closure for attenuator repair in Putnam County on SR-136 LM 2.2. REGION 2 the sweeping on various Interstate and State Routes: Sweeping operations are planned throughout Region 2 this reporting period. Sweeping operations are mobile operations along the inside and outside shoulders with impacts to adjacent traffic lanes. These operations will occur at night between 8 PM and 6 AM for interstates and high traffic state routes, while daytime sweeping can be anticipated between 9 AM to 3 PM for lower traffic state routes.

VANBUREN COUNTY SR-111 [14.87-19.54] from Sparta Street to White County Line microsurfacing: The contractor will have occasional lane closures during daylight hours from 6 AM to 7 PM for sign and traffic control device installations and to begin bridge repair and microsurfacing-related operations as needed. Additionally, lane closures on this multi-lane highway will occasionally carry through nighttime hours (24-hour lane closures) with proper signage for curing of concrete and other bridge-related setup. WHITE COUNTY SR-111 [15.25-16.25] from O'Connor Rd to Old Kentucky Rd culvert replacement: The left lane of both the Northbound and Southbound side of SR-111 will be closed until further notice. At this time the contractor will be constructing median crossovers to allow for later work to be completed. Motorists are encouraged to use caution as they approach the work zone, and they should be prepared to stop. Motorists should also be aware of the speed limit reduction in place and follow all signs displayed.
