The Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) has withdrawn Shirayuki Jumbo Nama Udon products from shelves and inventory, which were incorrectly stamped with the production date instead of the use-by date, according to an internal withdrawal message sent September 9.
CTC Food International of Oakland, California, has confirmed that its Shirayuki Nama Udon products were incorrectly stamped, posing risk to consumers.
DeCA has publicized this recall to all its stores, said Richard Stith, chief, public health division, DeCA Headquarters and Support Center at Fort Gregg-Adams, Virginia. Whenever a commissary has recalled or withdrawn products in its inventory, they are immediately removed from store shelves.
Customers should return this product to the commissary of purchase for a full refund.
