DURANT, Okla. - Southeastern Oklahoma State University has announced leadership updates in Alumni Relations and Career Services. Jennifer Ballew has been named director of alumni relations and special events, while Stephanie Davison is transitioning to become executive director for career services, effective immediately.
Ballew has served in the President's Office for the past several years, most recently as special events coordinator where she has been integral in planning and executing many of the university's signature events. In her new role, she will oversee alumni engagement initiatives and university special events, helping strengthen connections between Southeastern and its alumni community.
"Jennifer has done an outstanding job during her time in the President's Office, particularly in overseeing special events," said Mark Bisson, vice president for business affairs. "We are excited to see her step into this new role, where she will have the opportunity to strengthen alumni engagement and further support the university's mission."
Stephanie Davison and Mekenzie Cruz, who served as director of alumni relations and career management and coordinator of alumni relations and career management, respectively, over the past several years, are transitioning to focus exclusively on career management under the Student Development umbrella.
Dr. Brad Ludrick, the vice president of student development, is enthusiastic about the alignment of the two areas.
"I am truly excited about the integration of Career Services into the Student Development division," said Ludrick. "In the 21st century, career and workforce readiness must be intentionally woven throughout the student experience-beginning with recruitment and extending into lifelong engagement with our alumni. Stephanie Davison brings over 30 years of dedicated experience in education and is a forward-thinking leader who strategically positions both our students and the university for long-term success."
