ADB honors TPBank as the Leading Partner Bank in Vietnam for trade finance

25 September 2026

TPBank was recently honored by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as the "Leading Partner Bank in Vietnam" at a ceremony in Singapore, marking the fifth consecutive year the bank has received ADB recognition through awards for trade finance and connecting Vietnamese enterprises with international capital sources.

Affirming its position as a leading partner of ADB in Vietnam

The 12th Trade and Supply Chain Finance Program (TSCFP) Awards ceremony recently took place in Singapore, drawing over 200 senior representatives from the world's leading financial institutions. At the event, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) officially honored TPBank with the "Leading Partner Bank in Vietnam" award.

This recognition is based on the banks' actual transaction performance between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026. Being honored by ADB once again serves as clear evidence of TPBank's risk management capabilities, operational quality, and outstanding efficiency in accessing and deploying financing limits under the TSCFP. This facilitates the flow of development capital from Asia's leading financial institution to the Vietnamese business community.

Ms. Tran Bich Hanh, Deputy Head of the Treasury and Financial Markets Division and Director of the Financial Institutions Center at TPBank, shared: "Being honored by ADB at the TSCFP Awards for five consecutive years demonstrates TPBank's operational excellence, superior risk management, and high reliability in cross-border trade transactions. This also serves as motivation for us to further expand our connections and channel international preferential capital to effectively support the Vietnamese business community."

Digitizing trade finance to foster financial inclusion

Amidst economic volatility, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) - particularly women-owned SMEs (WSMEs) - often face barriers in accessing trade finance tools. TPBank combines international financial resources from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with digital technology to streamline processes and expand financial access for businesses.

On the TPBank Biz platform, operations such as import-export document processing, the issuance of Letters of Credit (L/Cs), and the opening of payment guarantees have been digitized, thereby reducing paperwork and shortening processing times. This creates more favorable conditions for SMEs and WSMEs to access and utilize trade finance solutions.

Alongside expanding access to capital, TPBank prioritizes integrating sustainable development into its trade finance activities. The bank incorporates an Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) risk management framework into credit appraisal and directs capital toward sectors such as green manufacturing, high-tech agriculture, and eco-friendly logistics, thereby contributing to Vietnam's green transition and its goal of achieving Net Zero by 2050.

The "Leading Partner Bank in Vietnam" award from the ADB further affirms TPBank's brand positioning: not only as a pioneer in digital banking but also as a reputable international financial partner steadfast in its commitment to sustainable development and the creation of long-term value for the community.
