Secretary of State Scott Schwab Confirms Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Petition has Been Approved

TOPEKA - Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab announced today that the petition submitted by independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has officially been approved, securing his place on the state's November ballot.

Mr. Kennedy met the candidate filing deadline of Monday, August 5, by noon, submitting the necessary petition. To qualify as an independent candidate for President and appear on the state's ballot, a minimum of 5,000 signatures from registered Kansas voters was required. "He has met these requirements," Schwab confirmed.
