Ingram Publisher Services Upgrades its E-commerce Platform IndiePubs

NASHVILLE,Tenn. - [June 15, 2026] -Ingram Publisher Services (IPS), a division of Ingram Content Group, has introduced new enhancements to IndiePubs, its direct-to-consumer online bookstore built exclusively for IPS distribution clients. The platform-free for publishers to use-now features a fully in-house Ingram Express Checkout, a plug-and-play solution enabling seamless cart functionality on a publisher's website-reducing friction, increasing conversion, and strengthening connections with their book-buying audiences.

IndiePubs originally launched in 2022 and expanded to the UK in 2025. The upgraded site strengthens its role as a centralized retail destination for thousands of titles from independent publishers, offering readers an efficient shopping experience supported by Ingram's global fulfillment network. Publishers maintain full control over pricing, promotions, and catalog updates without the cost or complexity of operating their own backend.

"Independent publishers need flexible, scalable tools that make it easier to run their business," said Meredith Greenhouse, VP and GM of Ingram Publisher Services. "IndiePubs enhances the value of IPS distribution by giving publishers a direct-to-consumer solution they control to compete in this growing channel, supported by Ingram's infrastructure."

IndiePubs offers publishers:

  • Free, turnkey e-commerce - A ready-to-use DTC storefront available exclusively to IPS distribution clients for selling print and e-books.
  • Multi-Functional cart capability - Ingram Express Checkout offers buy buttons on publisher websites and supports shoppable links for social campaigns, e-blasts, and author websites.
  • Integrated fulfillment - Orders flow through Ingram's global distribution network, ensuring reliable delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Publisher control - IPS clients manage pricing, promotions, and catalog updates while benefiting from centralized order processing.
  • UK expansion - IndiePubs launched in the UK last year, extending reach for publishers with international audiences.
  • Consumer Data - Publishers using Ingram Express Checkout get access to their shoppers' consumer data (upon opt-in) for better connection to their audience.

"In addition to the benefits IndiePubs and Ingram Express Checkout organically provide to publishers looking to compete in the DTC space, the IPS marketing team is also committed to growing IndiePubs as a consumerchannel," said Giuliana Caranante, Director of Marketing and E-Commerce for IngramPublisher Services. "We are investing our own marketing dollars to promote the site, we've built out social channels that we use to highlight books and publishers, and we are building out our consumer email strategy and on-site content to bring more shoppers who are looking to support independent publishers to IndiePubs."

The enhancements reflect IPS's commitment to equipping publishers the tools they need to operate more efficiently and expand their reader reach. By pairing distribution with a modern, easy-to-use channel, IPS delivers anadvantage not typically available through other distributors-greater control, more flexibility, and a direct connection to readers.

Because this is an in-house solution, IPS can continue to evolve the user experience with greater speed and flexibility. Planned enhancements for 2026 include audiobook integration, expanded pre-order windows, and side-cart functionality.

IPS Publishers are excited about the improvements as well. Peter Valelly, Electric Marketing Manager at UPenn said, "We're thrilled with how Ingram Express Checkout has provided a smoother, cleaner e-commerce experience for our customers! We especially appreciate Ingram's dedication to incorporating feedback, exploring new features, and consistently improving the product."
